Built from a real E36 project
GERMANY / 2026VAP develops platform-specific digital and 3D-printed parts for modern classic BMWs—starting with the details that made one E36 build look unfinished.
Problem first, product second
VAP began with real openings, removed components and integration problems in a BMW E36 interior. Each product starts with a specific place on the car, not a generic plate adapted after the fact.
OEM+ without pretending to be OEM
The geometry should belong to the platform, the function should remain legible and the modification should look deliberate. Motorsport influence is welcome; improvised finishing is not.
Measure
Original geometry, neighboring trim and installation constraints define the envelope.
Design
CAD turns the functional opening into a platform-specific component.
Prototype
FDM prototypes expose print, tolerance and assembly issues early.
Test-fit
On-car checking and revision replace claims of universal or “perfect” fitment.
