Overview
This digital download includes a prepared 3MF file and matching STL geometry for printing a clean BMW E36 DIN radio delete plate system for OEM+, lightweight and motorsport-inspired interiors.
It turns the empty DIN radio slot into a finished interior detail with three included face options: Blank Face, 2×52 mm Gauge Face and Motorsport Shift Label Face.
No improvised blanking plate. No exposed radio opening. No universal fit.

Required Hardware
- 2× magnets, 3×10 mm each
- Suitable adhesive for securing the magnets
Magnets are not included. Check magnet polarity before gluing them into the designed magnet pockets.
Fitment
Designed for compatible BMW E36 DIN radio openings. Factory trim geometry may vary between body styles, production years, previous modifications and aftermarket radio installations.
For the 2×52 mm Gauge Face, always test-fit your selected gauges before final installation. Gauge body diameter, bezel design and rear clearance may vary between manufacturers.
Material & Printing
- Recommended: ASA for balanced heat resistance and automotive interior use
- Premium option: ASA-CF for increased stiffness and a technical surface finish
- Also suitable: PETG for easier printing and moderate interior temperatures
- Not recommended: PLA due to limited heat resistance inside parked vehicles
Designed for FDM printing and optimized for enclosed printers such as the Bambu Lab P1S. Recommended layer height: 0.16–0.20 mm. No support structures are required when using the intended orientation.
Installation Notes
- Remove the original radio or aftermarket head unit.
- Secure unused wiring behind the dashboard.
- Install the two 3×10 mm magnets into the designed pockets.
- Align the plate with the DIN opening and apply even pressure.
- Do not force the part into position or press on one corner only.
Important Notes
- This is a digital product. No physical item is included.
- The download includes both 3MF and STL files for the selected face option. The All Faces option includes both formats for every included face.
- Magnets, gauges, wiring, sensors, adhesives and installation tools are not included.
- The Blank Face does not retain radio or audio function.
- The Motorsport Shift Label Face is a visual design element only.
- Test-fit before paint, coating or permanent finishing.
Why Both Formats?
The 3MF version preserves the prepared orientation, component positioning and recommended baseline print settings for the intended VAP workflow. The matching STL file contains the same printable geometry for broad slicer compatibility and independent print preparation.
