BMW E36 52mm Console Gauge Face | 3MF + STL Files

Overview

This digital download includes a prepared 3MF file and matching STL geometry for printing a clean BMW E36 52 mm console gauge face for auxiliary gauge integration.

It is designed for builders who want useful engine data without adding a universal gauge pod that looks disconnected from the original E36 interior.

No universal gauge pod. No improvised console cutout. No unfinished aftermarket look.

Fitment

Designed for compatible BMW E36 center console configurations. Interior trim geometry may vary depending on body style, production year, trim version, previous repairs and prior modifications.

The gauge openings are designed around standard 52 mm auxiliary gauges, but gauge fitment may vary between manufacturers. Test-fit your gauges before final installation.

Material & Printing

• Recommended: ASA for balanced heat resistance and automotive interior use
• Premium option: ASA-CF for increased stiffness and a technical surface finish
• Also suitable: PETG for easier printing and moderate interior temperatures
• Not recommended: PLA due to limited heat resistance inside parked vehicles

Designed for FDM printing and optimized for enclosed printers such as the Bambu Lab P1S. Recommended layer height: 0.16–0.20 mm. Use sufficient wall loops around gauge openings, mounting areas and thin visible edges.

Installation Notes

• Test-fit the printed part in the vehicle before final assembly.
• Test-fit all gauges in the printed openings.
• Check rear clearance for gauge bodies, wiring and angled connectors.
• Do not force gauges into the printed openings.
• Do not install if rear clearance or wiring routing is insufficient.

Why Both Formats?

The 3MF version preserves the prepared orientation, component positioning and recommended baseline print settings for the intended VAP workflow. The matching STL file contains the same printable geometry for broad slicer compatibility and independent print preparation.
