Overview

This digital download includes a prepared 3MF file and matching STL geometry for printing a clean BMW E36 shift boot delete cover for short shifter and chassis-mounted shifter setups.

It closes the original center console shift boot area with an OEM+ appearance while keeping the shifter opening functional.

Fitment

Designed for compatible BMW E36 center console shift boot areas. The part is primarily intended for short shifter, chassis-mounted shifter and shift boot delete applications.

Shifter position, lever diameter and movement range may vary between manufacturers. Check clearance through the complete gear selection range before final installation.

Material & Printing

• Recommended: ASA for balanced heat resistance and automotive interior use
• Premium option: ASA-CF for increased stiffness and a technical surface finish
• Also suitable: PETG for easier printing and moderate interior temperatures
• Not recommended: PLA due to limited heat resistance inside parked vehicles

Designed for FDM printing and optimized for enclosed printers such as the Bambu Lab P1S. Recommended layer height: 0.16–0.20 mm. No support structures are required when using the intended orientation.

Installation Notes

• Test-fit the printed part in the center console before final installation.
• Align all mounting clips before applying pressure.
• Apply even pressure around the component.
• Do not force the part into position.
• Depending on the installed shifter system, minor adjustment of the central opening may be required.
